McCain going Populist

And there's nothing we can do about it, nor should we.

Typical. When a politician, especially a populist, points his finger, everyone should be aware that 3 of 4 fingers point directly back at the accuser.

If the government (read politicians, ie. Juan McCain) had not pressured the "greedy" lenders to give money to those who could not afford to pay it back, they probably wouldn't have. The whole point of being "greedy" is you get your initial investment, plus a reward, back eventually. Now, if a lender wanted to be "greedy", he certainly would think twice before giving their money to someone who couldn't give it back.

Populism appeals to the lowest common denominator. I find this kind of pap highly insulting, & it makes it even harder for me to vote McCain in November.

Well, Dennis, you could always make people like me happy and stay home in November . . .

well in that case, I may vote for McCain just to continue JST's sadness another four years.
